Yo-Yo Ma takes his musical message beyond the stage

Rhythmic strings are just a part of his passion. Famed cellist Yo-Yo Ma will visit Ann Arbor and Flint Feb. 27 and Feb. 28, in a goal to promote community awareness of the arts.

The Feb. 27. The Feb. 28 program, “Flint Voices: Culture, Community and Resilience,” will be held at 4 p.m. at Berston Field House in Flint.

Sponsors include the UM-Flint, C.S. Mott Foundation, Hagerman Foundation and Ruth Mott Foundation.

The event will include food from Flint Farmers’ Market vendors, an interactive community visual art project, and a live storytelling experience. Although the event is free and open to the public, but space is limited. For additional information visit http://ums.org/flintvoices.
