There will be six new playgrounds​ coming to Flint parks this summer and you can help by volunteering to help build them in one or all of the parks.

The parks include:

• Clara Hilborn Park
• Cook Park
• Dewey Park
• Eldorado Vista Park
• Farnumwood Park
• Whaley Park

Here’s the schedule:

• Farnumwood Park, July 28, 8:00 a.m.-1.30 p.m. Celebration 2:00 p.m.
• Eldorado Vista , August 1, 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Celebration 4:00 p.m.
• Cook Park, August 4, 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Celebration 2:00 p.m.
• Clara Hilborn, August 6, 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Celebration 4:00 p.m.
• Dewey Park, August 8, 10:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Celebration 4:00 p.m.
• Whaley Park Aug. 11, 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Celebration 2:00 p.m.

Flint youth got to have a say in their design through Flint Kids Play, Design Day.

The build is in partnership with United Way of Genesee County, Community Foundation of Greater Flint and Make an Impact Foundation.
