Flint’s homeless will soon get a lift in the form of a place lie down.
From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. June 27 at the Holiday Inn Gateway Centre, 5353 Gateway Center Drive, Diplomat’s sales team will create sleeping mats for those without beds. The effort, which is a partnership with United Way of Genesee County, will take place during Diplomat’s annual national sales meeting at the hotel.
The goal of the project is to help address the needs of Genesee County residents who lack permanent housing and who sometimes lack access to temporary shelter, Diplomat announced. A specialty pharmacy, Diplomat encourages community support and social involvement by its employees and fellows.
